Based on today's drug development environment, new therapies are not getting to patients in time. We formed Accélère in May 2002 with the vision of building and providing a secure Internet-based infrastructure and application suite that radically improves the process of how therapies are developed, tested and commercialized. We want to enable researchers and clinicians to work in concert across traditional organizational and economic boundaries to improve the quality of care and ultimately, the quality of human life.

We are focused on delivering an end-to-end solution that accelerates the most painful part of the development cycle: patient recruitment for Phase II and Phase III clinical trials. The root of our solution starts in the standard care path for all patients. As patients are treated at their leading care facility, our system compares them against protocols for new and novel therapies. That way, clinicians can have full visibility to all therapeutic options as they evaluate the best course of action for maximizing a patient's quality of life.

Accélère provides a patient recruitment solution that uses real-time health care information to perform fact-based patient population forecasting and recruitment in a HIPAA-compliant and secure manner. Our solution accelerates the clinical trial process by 1) finding patients based on real-time health care information; 2) drive the care and research teams through the proper consent steps for enrollment; 3) improving trial protocols initially, by allowing researchers to test them against a well-described, but de-identified population. Our customers are biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies, clinical research organizations, medical research centers and their affiliates. We generate revenues primarily through value-based transactions and associated protocol analysis and configuration services.
